Professional dehumidifier with a performance that comes close to the big ones in its class With the TTK 100 E you have a trendy dehumidifier that combines successful design with advanced control elements. In contrast to dehumidifiers with analog controllers for unit-free preselection of minimum to maximum operation, with the TTK 100 E you can enter the desired humidity value directly via the digital display. An integrated hygrostat then automatically implements this target and automatically regulates the performance of the compressor and two-stage fan. The digital display on the clear and easy-to-understand control panel shows you, among other things, the current value of the relative humidity in the room as well as the current room temperature and the entered target value. The device also has a timer function, an automatic fault diagnosis system and a memory function. The integrated memory function ensures that the set humidity value and the operating mode are saved even after switching off. The laundry drying function completes the functionality of the comfortable dehumidifier. The integrated separate hose connection enables the external condensate drainage even in unattended permanent operation - the ideal prerequisite for continuous use, for example in hobby rooms or in holiday homes. Gentle laundry drying with air dehumidifiers In addition to room air dehumidification, a dehumidifier can be used conveniently for drying laundry - as a support or as a complete replacement for a conventional tumble dryer. The laundry drying function (or also textile drying mode or SuperDry function) is comparable to traditional air drying outdoors. Dehumidifiers have the advantage that the laundry is dried gently like in nature. Colours stay bright and clothing has a longer lifespan than conventional tumble dryers and that with significantly less power consumption. In addition, sensitive materials such as wool, silk or synthetic fibers can also be dried without hesitation. In contrast to pure air drying, the laundry is much softer and more comfortable to wear on the skin. Laundry can also be dried with air dehumidifiers without a laundry drying function. The target value of the air humidity must then be set according to the desired residual humidity: Cupboard dry: 46% relative humidity Ironing moisture: 58% relative humidity Partially dried: 65% relative humidity Propane (R290) as an environmentally friendly refrigerant in dehumidifiers Every year synthetic refrigerants emit several million tons of environmentally harmful CO2 emissions (greenhouse gases) into the air. Therefore, the use of alternative refrigerants is one of our most important goals. With the use of propane (R290) as a refrigerant, this dehumidifier makes a valuable contribution to climate protection. The natural refrigerant propane (R290) is an organic compound and one of the hydrocarbons. In contrast to synthetic refrigerants, environmentally friendly propane (R290) has neither ozone depletion potential (ODP = 0) nor a noteworthy greenhouse effect (GWP = 3). Additional plus for the environment: Due to its excellent thermodynamic properties, propane (R290) is a particularly energy-efficient refrigerant and thus also reduces your energy costs. Hot gas defrost In contrast to circulating air defrosting, dehumidifiers for use in cooler rooms are equipped with a hot gas defrosting system using the bypass method. Here, the hot refrigerant gas in the compression circuit is actively used for fast and effective defrosting. When icing starts, a special solenoid valve opens automatically and now bypasses the hot gas from the compressor directly to the evaporator instead of to the condenser and closes again after its defrosting to continue the regular refrigerant circuit for the dehumidifying operation. In contrast to circulating air defrosting, the automatic hot gas defrosting system enables dramatically shorter defrosting phases of just a few minutes, which is an essential requirement for effective air dehumidification in low-temperature areas such as unheated rooms. After all, the actual air dehumidification takes place exclusively in the non-defrosting phases of the drying devices! For the dehumidification of unheated rooms with temperatures below 15 °C, air dehumidifiers with automatic hot gas are therefore always better suited and more effectively usable compared to circulating air defrosting devices with the same compressor capacity. At ambient temperatures above 15 °C, however, the performance of dehumidifiers with hot gas and automatic defrosting is more and more similar until it is basically identical at temperatures above approx. 18 °C.
